That's a beauty.... I have a real cheap Mexican scabbard that I wouldn't trust mounted on a horse.

That looks like good craftsmanship! I've always wanted one, just never pulled the trigger.

You did a great job on that one Rube. I'll bet all that basket weave took a while. So much nicer than mine which is roughout. Very plain and it's store bought. I see you used those expensive copper harness rivets. I'll bet those suckers are a dollar apiece these days, even without washers. My 12 year old wants to use some of mine to make Freddy Krueger gloves with. Ain't happening!

Very nice workmanship. Love basket weave. Just spent the weekend making leather knives for my oldest daughter, who is preparing for a chaps project. Knives (3) are ready but for scales.

Looks good, I have one pretty much like it, but mine is not as nice as that one. Mine is lashed to the grab handle in my side by side and a pre-64 Winchester 30/30 lives there year around.

Oh, on your B-Day, scroll down about 30 topics and you will see the forum also believes it was your B-Day.

Was the leather from one of your critters?

Thanks for all the comments guys. I have been doing leather work for a little over a year. Picked it up during the pandemic as a way to have something to do and it turned into a little side money gig also since people started wanting things made.

Still lots to learn but I have really taken to it and have spent countless hours trying to get better and learn something new every day.
