Favorite 223 dies?

Post by Tycer »

I need to return my friend’s Lee’s. They seemed to function fine I have lots of Lees, RCBS, some Redding, Herters and Lyman. I’m not an expert 223 reloader.
Kind regards,
Tycer

I've been happy with my Lee FCD's but only reload for bolt and breakopen guns.

I use RCBS and hit clay birds repeatly out to 547 yards with a stock Colt AR with a 16" barrel but I know how to adjust them for my chamber......yes, dies are important and different makes have their issues/advantages, but the accuracy comes in how to adjust them.

I like my Hornady. 223 dies.
The drop down feature makes it a whole lot easier to get the bullet seated straight.
I've loaded thousands and thousands of rounds with it.

Stay with the lee's and get the 4 die set it has the fcd and collet die if your trying for match grade ammo, if not the pace setter 3 die set will work fine. danny
