Ray, I had not heard of jigger pole fishing until today. Looks very effective. Is the rod fiberglass, graphite or bamboo?
On the Oregon Coast, there is a similar technique called poke-poling where you have a long bamboo rod with a short, maybe 12-inch wire leader, and a baited hook. You pick a low tide on a calm ocean and wade around the river mouth jetties poking that rod and bait into the rip-rap boulders for cabezon, wolf eels and such ...
