I'm done with June here in the desert. It was a hot month. Now we are well into a really good summer monsoon pattern. Love watching the daily storms build over the Sacramento Mountains.

The problem is that a week only lasts about 3.5-4 days now, causing a month to be much shorter and before you finish a decent nap the season has changed. My Dad tried to warn me but I thought he was exaggerating.

Grizz and GameKeeper: I bought a O/U 28 gauge and stainless 250 Savage bolt action to help ease the transition from
July to August. Hope this makes you feel better.
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

250 Savage... its what the 223 wishes it could be...!

About 3 months here until the leaves suddenly turn brown and fall off the trees. Maybe 4 months until we can wear a jacket again. The grass is already pretty much cooked brown and done for the year.

Oh ya, that was a good chuckle.
Purposely, I think I've been trying to stay stuck in the 70's my whole life.
