Moon clips

Post by wvfarrier »

So, ive been using the factory S&W moonclips for the last few years in my 627s but decided to order a few (20) of the TK Customs stainless steel moonslips for are crazy expensive. I am incredibly disappointed, they do not hold the rounds are more firmly than the factory MCs. They are a smidge thicker but really do not to see any real "functional" improvement. Neither really holds the 8 rounds very well.

That's disappointing. I've been looking for some as well as a decent speed loader for an 8 shot N frame, but haven't had much luck.

The 5 Star aluminum speedloader hold really well but I find them too large for rapid use. Im drifting more toward speedstrips. They are a but slower to use but you have more control and an easier time than trying to wiggle 8 rds into a cylinder, even chamfered cylinders.
