Just needs a bayonet lug to complete it! Have you seen the lever action AR in 9mm being nade in Australia?
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

I think it's made in the UK. It comes with a price tag of £2,500 - about $3470 (US)

In the year 2000 I bought a new Winchester model 94AE Legacy in .45 colt. I had been away from shooting for years and having a Ruger Bisley .45colt getting one made sense. open the box it was a thing of beauty, good finish and great well checkered wood, it was great.
Trying to shoot it was a whole different matter . the trigger was 10-12lb pull. the lever was about impossible to work it was so stiff. it was near impossible to load more than six rounds in the loading gate . it was so over sprung on all accounts it was a nightmare. I was no weakling at the time I was 45 years old and shooting a 70lb longbow with no problem. THE ONLY THING THAT WORKED WELL ON IT WAS THE TANG SAFTEY AND THE REBOUNDING HAMMER. My soon to be Son in Law tried to shoot it and handed it back to Me and said "it's broken" He couldn't get it to fire. I searched the new to Me internet and landed here on Leverguns .
For the next few years I tried all the changes in springs, hammers , polishing , removing the tang safety, rebounder bla, bla, bla. for a few years I used it to test hi-velocity loads and when I got a 45-70 it hasn't been fired since.
IF IT HAD BEEN HALF AS GOOD AS MY ROSSI RIFLES I WOULD NEVER HAVE HAD TO SEARCH THE INTERNET TO TRY TO FIND OUT WHAT WAS WRONG. IT IS THE WORST PEICE OF JUNK I EVER TRIED TO SHOOT. AND A TOTAL SHAME ON WINCHESTERS PART. I WOULD NEVER BUY ANYTHING AGAIN WITH A REBOUNDING HAMMER.
VERY SOON MY NEXT MOVE WILL BE TO PUT IT IN IT'S ORIGINAL BOX AND SHIP IT TO GUNPARTS CORPORATION ,I WON'T DUMP IT ON SOME ONE ELSE.
THE BEST PART IS I HAVE LEARNED FROM SO MANY HERE. DON'T TELL ME HOW BAD A ROSSI CAN BE.

The Winchester 94 action was never designed to accommodate handgun cartridges unlike the Winchester 92, whoever owned the Winchester name at that time should have brought back the 92 and left the 94 for what it was designed for. When I wanted a Leveraction in .357/.38 I first looked at the 94 but reports of problems put me off so I opted for a Rossi as at least the 92 was designed by Browning to fire handgun cartridges. Comparing a 94 to a 92 in a handgun caliber is not a good comparison.
I applaud Rossi for continuing to make the 92 for those that want a brand new handgun cartridge Leveraction, pity Winchester dropped it when they did if they hadn't Rossi's would have probably stayed South of the border.
If more men loved and cherished their wives as much as I love bacon the world would be a much better place.

I gotta admit I did move towards the ‘tactical’ for a couple of my leverguns...here’s one of them...

Image

It has a holographic sight, laser, and light for nighttime varmint patrol. With the quick-detach light slipped off it looks fairly normal but I generally just leave the light on it because henhouse or goat barn raids happen without notice.

Nice thing is I can put three shots in a couple of inches at fifty yards with no more than starlight; can’t do that with any of my more normal-looking guns.

Doubles as a ‘house’ gun that is more practical than an AR, since I just load it with 1,000-FPS-ish 45 caliber JHP’s most of the time; way easier on the ears than 5.56 would be...!

People sure are funny.
I didn't have to change anything on my Harley, my Jeep, or my Rossi. All three would have worked just fine without any modifications. I changed things for taste on my Harley. The things I changed on my Jeep are for performance. I use my Jeep quite differently than most owners. The things I changed on my Rossi 92 were for both performance and to lessen putting my empty brass into orbit.
You must have quite a bit of spare time to know so much about my life, so why don't you read through all my posts and find ONE negative thing I've EVER said about Rossi's or the people who own them. I'll wait.
Then, when you don't find anything, are you going to go back and tell everyone you were wrong in your slighting comment of me? I didn't think so.
I had no issues with you until your comment above. If you have a problem with someone, have the berries to name them and take responsibility for your comment. When you cover it with the word "people", your naming a big group.

I got to thinking and had the bright idea to sell my LSI Puma 357 at an obnoxious price then buy a Marlin 357 to replace it. I see how much the Marlins are selling for!.!... So much for thinking!.!... So I bought a 24V in 357/20 gauge to appease my fat wallet. Todd/3leg

But to me, if you're gonna have the sack to call someone out, have the sack to be specific.

I've never said a bad word about Rossi's or their owners on this forum. Naturally, when someone speaks ill in generalizations that include me, I'm going express my displeasure. And, I will be specific about it.

Sixer, they just like to mess with you. Consider it a form of flattery.... :D

Most of us like pretty much all guns, and judge them on their individual merits, or sometimes their brand and prestige, or both.

The gun I'd "grab and go with" would be different depending on whether:

- I'm going for a walk in the rain
- I'm going deer hunting in normal weather
- I'm going to a shooting match for accuracy
- I'm going to a "look at the cool gun I just bought" meet-up
- I'm going to fight a gang of bad-guys
- I'm going to sell stuff at a gun show
- or whatever.....

Some days it would be a Rossi, some days definitely not. Nothing to get my blood pressure up over on any of those days.

Maybe it's the unnecessary hatred, viciousness, bigotry and anti-Semitism that come with spouting those views that some of us could live without.
There's enough hatred to go around elsewhere.

Re: Time to sell the Rossi rifles off.....

Post by big bear »

Huh? I was just wandering through posts (supposed to be looking for 218 Bee loads) and came across this thread. I thought it might be something of serious interest about Rossi firearms. The more I read, the less I could figure out what it was about. Folks seem ready to fight bout just any ol thing and every argument turns "political" and tribal fairly quickly. Peoples feelings get hurt really quickly and away we go.

I see this when I go to town (which I do as little as possible of late). Is it the heat? the virus? too much social media? too much instant news? Everybody has a hair trigger and will fight about any little thing.

I like to shoot old guns, some new guns, hunting. eating fish some one else caught. and my kids. Love my Winchester 71, and my Accuracy International AT, drive a Tacoma and had nothin but bad luck with Fords. I love apple pie and think eating rhubarb anything is a sign of insanity. I feel sad when I see a beggar and more often than not will give them a dollar.I am sure at least one of the things I have said will p.o. somebody .

Anybody got any good loads for 218Bee for my old Browning 65 and my new(not yet fired) Marlin 1894? If so please post em up. I'll check back after I go eat a tofu and arugula salad
