my spanish is too rusty to hear the lyrics. love the music. i have driven past the Tecate plant in Tecate many times...

Tecate is old time spanish conquistador outpost. the army that was headed north to a rendevous with a spanish galleon named San Salvador in what is now called San Diego's Spanish Landing Park passed through there. this happened in the 1500's. a while ago back yonder

The 30/30 carbine
Carried by the rebels
According to the Maderistas
Did not really kill

I'm off to battle with my 30/30
I entered the rebel ranks
If it's blood they ask for,
blood I'll give them
For the people of our nation

Fransico Villa cried out
Where are you Argumedo?
Come and stand up in front
You, who are never afraid

I'm off to battle with my 30/30
I entered the rebel ranks
If it's blood they ask for,
blood I'll give them
For the people of our nation

We've headed for Chihuahua
Your Indian saint is leaving town
If they kill me in the war
Go and mourn me on hallowed ground

I'm off to battle with my 30/30
I entered the rebel ranks
If it's blood they ask for,
blood I'll give them
For the people of our nation

it got them a marxist nation that controls all the land and resources. i knew a man who homesteaded a section or two as a pioneer, and was deprived of the entire thing, living on a postage-stamp corner lot in Vista de Valle, in a tiny shack, in fuming hatred of the communists who stole his rancho after the "revolution".

That is the very real possibility of any revolution.
Many today either do not understand that or think it could happen.
But look honestly at the revolutions in history and you can see a lot of them did not turn out so well.

Yesterday was the Day of the Cowboy so the local AM station was playing this in the background ALL DAY... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=526LSasuJTk

Great lyrics - even I can remember them....
Doctors for Sensible Gun Laws
"first do no harm" - gun control LAWS lead to far more deaths than 'easy access' ever could.
