Somewhere in my failing memory I seem to recall seeing where Perfection made cookstoves that used the same round, tubular wick for a heat source.

Well! I turns out that not only DID they make cookstoves but they still are making them, NOT CHEAP though! Lehman's sells them for the "off grid" community.
