But they sure make it easier for a big man to shoot better.

BINGO! And that's why I replaced all the "meat tenderizer" type grips on my S&W's with Hougue Grippers'
The most important aspect of this signature line is that you don't realize it doesn't say anything significant until you are just about done reading it & then it is too late to stop reading it....

Steve Herrett knew a thing or two about designing hand gun grips.

I have a few of those as well. I don't have huge hands, but my long fingers make it difficult to shoot some pistols. I've tried the large frame, double stack .45ACPs a couple of times, most recently an FN FNX. Great pistol, but I just couldn't shoot it accurately. A friend kept bugging me to sell it to him. I finally did and that's what bought the new '73. :D

It doesn't matter what others think, if you like them! I like the looks of them, just don't like the prices!!!

I think I paid $35 for this pair and they were new in the box. (plus shipping) I actually bought them as they were represented to fit the old model ruger RED frame.

These do not, but by happy coincidence they do fit the original Blackhawk frames.

If they make it so you have more control and can shoot better, then so what if they look different.

Which ones are the uglies?
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

250 Savage... its what the 223 wishes it could be...!

After looking at your post on shooting the new '73, I'd say that was a great deal! :D
