How Fast

Post by Bronco »

Hello All,

All of my hard cast, water quenched, gas checked bullets that I make have been shot in firearms where the velocity was 2K fps or less with no leading! Been thinking about getting a .30 cal mold in a 125 to 135 grain cast. Will still be a hard cast, gas checked item.

Sooo, question is..... How fast have some of you pushed a like bullet, bullet weight not a consideration, and still not had any or very little leading ????

Thank in advance for any knowledge given !!

John

Can’t answer personally but some articles here:

I’ve got a 358 Win load that pushes a plain base to 2500 no leading.
Kind regards,
