Well that sucks. I'm sure the liberals will love this, but pretend to be sad.

I liked listening to him. Sure, he was a showman and an entertainer. What he excelled at was getting his message across with humor and satire with a subtle wit. Not everyone could think fast enough or deep enough to enjoy his broadcasts. Too many Leftists were incapable of the thought needed to follow him. May he Rest In Peace.

First time I caught his show was about late-ish '87 when I was driving across country with only an AM radio. He had a fellow on the phone that had a roadside taco stand, and he was using roadkill meat....

After being a fan of his for 30 + years i will surely miss him, first time i heard him i was taking
a lunch break after another grueling 4 hours of cutting logs, I had no idea who he was but liked him
right off the bat,so every day after that he was my go to man for news & updates

Was some days the lunch break got kind of long, but that was one of the perks of being self employed

I started listening to Rush in October of 1989. I had just started a new job working in a warehouse all by myself. I had an AM radio to keep me company.

In 1989, I did not follow politics or even know if I was Republican or Democrat. Thanks to Rush I realized I was a Conservative.

Thank you Rush for 32 years of education and entertainment.

RIP

Started listening late '80's and did a lot of travel for my company; always mapped out the local radio stations so I could punch them into the company van's radio

Oddly enough, I seemed to be there live for his major announcements.

When he took a break for rehab I was driving down 675 around Dayton, coming off my day shift while activated military

When he announced his cancer I was in NC on the way to Ocean Isle Beach for a phone system/network upgrade

Now retired, caught Kathryn's announcement at home

He's leaving behind a *huge* legacy, one I suspect impossible to fill

He saved the AM radio band

He was a pioneer in advancing talk radio, turning it into a nat'l network

No, the left won't even shed crocodile tears, they're dancing already

Fleas bite at elephant's heels too

Don't know what to do with my afternoons now.

RIP Rush Limbaugh. Not surprising at all that he/Katherine would choose to make the announcement of his passing on his show. He truly appreciated his listeners.

Truly a day that all conservatives should mourn. No one that I know of can fill his shoes. Not Sean Hannity. Just my opinion.

.

He wasn't a politician or an activist, but he carried the fire.

He showed people the way.

He was a presence that will be missed.

Rush was the man who started it all! He will truly be missed by the people who love this country! I will always remember during Pres. Trump unexpectedly gave him the medal of freedom during his presidential address. I just love the look on pelosi and the other communists faces! Rest in peace Maharushi!

The left’s narrative is already starting...

“Limbaugh was conservative, and sometimes divisive, but with wit, humor, and compassion; sadly since Trump, Limbaugh’s type has been replaced with mean-spirited advocates of violence...”

I was reminded of a friend's observation. Cancer is a Socialist. It consumes its host, works to cause harm even while good people sleep, and is too stupid to realize that it dies when the host dies. If the host is a Christian, he or she wins.

This friend even named his cancer "Baxter".

I first listened to him in 89 when driving around St. Paul taking service calls. I learned a lot about politics with him. I enjoyed the days when he would bring up the HR bills and what the content of those bills were. He was a Pioneer in the new age of talk radio formats. Big shoes to fill.

I will sorely miss him too. He's like one of my best friends whom I've never had the pleasure to meet as weird as that sounds. Rush went national on 01 August 1988 and my uncle turned me onto him in 1990. I have listened to him almost daily ever since which has been about half of my life. There will be no replacement because he was one of a kind, but I'm sure his show will continue in some form with other hosts of a like mindset. One regret I've always had was not having gone to a live taping of his TV show in NYC during the early 90s. RIP old buddy and "MEGA DITTOS!!!"
