My dad passed away

Post by wvfarrier »

Keep in mind he was 76 years old, diabetic and has severe parkinsons. My mother took him to the VA (career soldier) because he was having trouble breathing (thing Covid), the VA sent him home with something to help him breath. He died in his sleep less than 5 hours later. My poor mother is a wreck....throw a few prayers for Donna if you have a moment.

Sorry to hear that...it will be a life changing happening. I think of my dad everyday missing all the fun, doing things together and the many things he taught me.---6

WV- my deepest sympathy, in a few days it will be 4 years since I lost my Dad. Up until he got sick he was still working at 85 !
Its tough on us. Be there for your Mom, she needs a strong son to lean on.

Very sorry to hear this... Prayers for your mom -- and you too. Others said it well above; cherish the memories and let those comfort you today and in the future.

You have my deepest condolences, a very tough road. As others have said, keep the good memories in the forefront of your mind. The pain doesn't go away but you learn to live with it.

Sending prayers and support for your Mom and for you. Lost my Dad to H1N1 on my 59th birthday almost nine years ago. At least I got to close his eyes. Not a thing one forgets.

Prayers up for you and your Mom. Stay strong for her and let your wife, guessing that you are married, be strong for you when you are alone. Your Mom will need your strength.

.

Here's a hope that you who remain will find some peace.

Remember the good times and the wisdom that he blessed you with.

It's been some 5 years since my own Dad passed. It was time, but we still feel his presence.

Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.

History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.

So sorry for your loss.
I think most of us are on this forum because our dads introduced us to guns, shooting, and hunting. It is a special relationship. God Speed to your dad. Condolences to you and your family.
