Gunshow Missouri

Post by 3leggedturtle »

There is a gunshow in Warsaw at the end of the month, anyone close by? Gonna have 2 tables there, and hopefully a nice fire each nite. Last there was a gentleman who retired from Speer or Sierra whom I missed out on talking to. Todd/3leg
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

250 Savage... its what the 223 wishes it could be...!

Lucky guys! We've been closed down for almost a year now for any gun shows, or large gatherings. I'd love to hit a gun show if it wasn't the other end of the US!

It's been two year's since my last gun show. I found a very nice 1981 1894 Marin 44 mag that I pickup for a good price. I like the older pre safety JM Marlins. I really enjoy shooting the Marlins these days. Winchester White Box works real well in this Marlin. Also handles the 44 spl. well. I like the ease of breaking down the Marlins. Cleans up in no time at all. I sure would enjoy a Marlin 1894 in 45 Colt. 45 Colt is a great round!

Warsaw is a little out of my normal range. We paddlefish snag out there in the spring but my bro doesn't live at The Lake anymore so no where to stay unless he brings his motorhome.

I hit a couple shows in St Charles when I was looking to move my M6 Carbine. They weren't the best gunshows I've been to. Almost no one knew what an M6 was, and the folks that had stuff I might have traded for just weren't dealing. Guess it was too much of a sellers market for me. LOTS of ammo for sale, some priced ok, some just crazy but folks were buying. More darker complected folks there than I've seen in the past, a lot of them seasoned citizens like me. Even ran into a fellow I used to work with who just recently fled the city where he said he would never leave. Claimed he wanted a shorter drive to the rabbit hunting I took him to 20 years ago, but then admitted his wife had been carjacked and they packed up. Now living even farther out than me. Good for him. St Louis is turning into a cesspool.

Good luck with your tables. That seems like it would be a good area for a gunshow.
