Hate to confess it, but I don't stop in here once or twice every day like I used to and this is my first stop by since the B-day.

Thanks for the well wishing.

Didn't do much of anything that day. Played some computer games (yep, at my age, I finally got hooked on some of 'em. They do say there's no fool like an old fool and here I am, being the proof) between looks outside at the snow falling before finally heading out around sunset to shovel the driveway and clear the drift across the end of it after the plow went by. Had pizza and wings delivered to avoid having to cook supper and Sweet Tooth had intercepted the leatherbound, signed copy of Larry Correia's Monster Hunter International when it showed up earlier in the week and presented it to me with a nice card. Always nice to do your own gift shopping, as you know you're going to get something you actually wanted. She said she'd been sweating it out for days that I was going to ask whether that book had shown up yet, but frankly, I'd pre-ordered and forgotten when to expect it, so it was a bit of a surprise.

Not much of an elaborate celebration, but it worked for me.
