A beautiful and fine gun indeed. This let me say is Jack Huntington's passion. The cylinder is drilled through the frame. This would not be the first of Jack's guns to go to Africa taking at least up to water buffalo. Jack spares nothing that would make the gun better and John Taffin has written on his work. I used to test fire some guns for Jack and he guided me to my first antelope kill in Wyoming. He took his with a single action not unlike this one. I fired one of his 50s like this but much plainer. I guess you would call them five guns. Congrats on your project and making that happen.

Another famous gunsmith making fine doubles and other Africa rifles, Ryan Breeding worked in the same shop. They were both independent gunsmiths. Hello to Jack if you should talk to him.

Thanks all, for the kind words! Jack's a great guy and a fantastic gunsmith. It was a pleasure to meet him back in October for a hunt down in Texas. Sent another sixgun home with him for a new cylinder, octagon barrel and sheephorn grips.

I don't know how much I'd have to charge to replicate the holster again. The elephant hide is a bit paradoxical. It's expensive at nearly $50/sq-ft but it also saves me finish work. I know the full rig would have to be at least $1500, if not more. I'm hand stitching so you can imagine how long it took to stitch around the belt.
