Husqavarna H-5000. PICS ADDED
Anybody have any experience with this model? There is a custom takedown in '06 that I'm seriously considering and this is one rifle I haven't any experience with. Thanks.

High quality. I bought one in Germany and sent it to my dad for a Christmas gift. He had it in his closet for 30 years, unfired until he gave it back to me several years back. I had no need for another 7mm mag. I ended up trading it off for another gun I wanted more.
Mine was a 5000 but not take down.

Thinking of the several different commercial Husqvarna boltgun's I've owned/shot/hunted over the years, I have to say they have an enviable reputation for impeccable workmanship, materials & accuracy.
IOW, unless the styling cue are not for you, IMHO you can buy one with confidence.

Had a friend that owned an 06 takedown as well. I shot it a few times. It was a nice shooter. No clue on value but it did impress me as a rifle that I would buy if I ever found one for sale. His also had the express flip up sights.

Thanks guys. I really like the looks of this takedown. I was looking for a convenient take down 30-06 for general use. I put a bid on this one. Will post pictures if I get it.

Here are few pics. Fairly pristine. Take down, 30-06. Now to find the right receiver peep, scope bases, some QR rings and nice glass.

That's down right cool!
I've a couple military Husqvarna's and spotters. They were great shooters.

You've done well, Pilgrim !
I'd be interested to know if it retains it's zero after a take-down/re-assembly.
