"New" to me #3 Ballard

Post by marlinman93 »

Got a very nice #3 Ballard today. Actually got it a couple weeks ago, but it arrived today!
The #3 Ballards were made in .22 short, long, LR, and .25 Stevens RF. This one is a .25 Stevens, so it wont see much shooting time, as ammo is tough to find!
Anyway it's been very well cared for, and has the std. 24" lightweight octagon barrel, which has a minty bore! Still has nice case colors, and almost perfect bluing and wood!
I "needed" this #3 to fill a hole in the Ballard collection, so I'm really happy to find it!

It is beautiful. If only they still produced the .25 Stevens. Mr. Keith made me want one many years ago...
Sincerely,

Hobie

Vall,

I went to the range today, and in the on site gun shop I found a bag of Remington ("U" head stamp) copper cased 25RF ammo. They are in nice condition and I didn't see any corrosion. No box either. I counted 48 rounds. Could have miss counted though. Shop owner wants $10.00 for them.

If you're interested let me know and I'll see what I can do to get them to you.
