Here`s the last one, it`s called a Eclipse spinning wheel, very rare.
Thats it, no more.

Pitchy,

Looks interesting, but I can't see how it works from the pics.
The foot thing looks like it would make the pivoting arm rock back and forth, but what does the wheel turn? Do you have to turn the wheel by hand?

Joe, yep ya turn the flywheel by hand which turns the spindle where the yarn goes on. It`s at the end of the arm which moves away from you when ya tilt the foot board making it possable to spin while sitting down.
I`m going to make a vid shortly as soon as the polly dries.

Borregos i hope so, this one makes 14

Pitchy,

That one looks easy to use. So now you gonna build a display room for your collection?

My living room is the display room.

Put a crank handle on it like it was supposed to have, works much better.

Hey now, that crank makes all the difference in the world. You can scoot right along with it now.
One question; why do you occasionally reverse the wheel direction?

It back winds it off the tip so you can wind the yarn furthur back on the spindle.
She`s a beauty and a favorite i can see now. :D

Kim i`m going to have to google that to figure it out

Pitchy,
You are one gifted dude! That is really cool and I sure can appreciate the time, energy, and patience that goes into making an antique work of art that few people today even know what its for.

Thanks for taking the time to share that with us dudes.

Now, go get a haircut and wash off those tattoos! :D ----------Sixgun

Pitch...you've gone loomy on us! Oh, the humanity!

Gadzooks...you're going to be up to your neck in yarn if'n you aren't careful Pard. Then you'll have to start a yarn website.....only problem is then the biggest double barreled liars yet left unhung will fill your forum with "yarns" that don't come off of some sheep. They'll be piling on the "sheep dip" which doesn't do to well on a loom. It doesn't work as well as Skoal either. Don't ask me how I know.... It's pretty hard to weave sheep dip...I don't want to think about it.

You better forget the whole thing Pard...

I'll call you in a couple of weeks...I'm out of state right now.

Wow! Lenn that's the best one yet! Now that you've built your last spinning wheel what are you going to do next. Start working on the loom since you got all that yarn? Maybe crocheting??
