might be worth the price to put back to normal.
depending on what is under all that "beautiful" wood of course.
careful what you wish for, you might just get it.

I'm guessing he wanted his marlin to look like his W88? Sort of a matched set? That's the only thing I can come up with. :?

...In the eye of the beholder, and stuff, but my eyes behold a beast  +1 on putting some proper wood on it, if you could get the rifle for a decent price, but it's already past what I'd give for it.

It's...interesting....I don't hate it, but I'm not real sure I like it. :?

Would I do that to a 39 if I owned one? No, not even a new one. Would I buy that one if the price was right and I had the cash? Maybe...

I love my 39. That stock has some big warts and does not do the action any favors.

Interesting indeed.

I actually PREFER a one-piece stock, due to ease of removal for cleaning debris or moisture from around the magazine tube. Dunno if that would apply to this 'custom' design, though.

I've always thought the little receiver of the 39A looks silly with the big stock in front and back of it, and preferred the 1894 type designed ones (forget the model number).

I clicked on the pictures ready to hate it completely....but, there is a certain charm to it, in a strange and different way!

...now, you see, I would have thought he was selling a Ruger 96/22 Mannlicher, like this one:

They look VERY much alike.
