Nath, I have read alot about them but have never tried them. I figure that Bigsky Danny from northwest Montana might be able to help you or some others too.

Nath, Schnees' boots made in Bozeman, MT are very high quality. You can't go wrong.

Nath-

I always wore Sorels, until visiting my son in Bozeman & going to Schnee's home store. The salesman went out of his way to fit me, answer questions, etc. It is the only pack boots that ever gave me lateral support ( I'm 66 & need all the help I can muster in the high country ). The tongues are double layered, so lacing tightly does not wear bothersome grooves in the leather. I'm getting ready for a late season wilderness area elk hunt here in Colorado. You can bet my Schnee's will be along for the trip.

I have a pair... best packs I've ever owned. When I ordered mine I got an extra set of liners and swap them out between days when I'm wearing them. Comfort? You bet... and I have flat feet. I highly recommend them. :D

I bought a pair a few years ago and they are by far my best boot for cold conditions. For some reason my feet get cold rather easily. It seems my toes and instep get hit and seem to stay cold when I hunt out of a treestand in wintery conditions. That is the way I hunt here.

I found the Schnee's pack boot, 13" , to be very comfortable and my feet stay relatively warm. They tend to make them narrow so you will probably have to order them a size up from your normal size. I take a 13 and had to exchange them for a 14.
