Re: Blackhawk vs KFrame
Around here you rarely see a decent K frame for sale. I do have a flat top Ruger Blackhawk in 44 spl. that I enjoy shooting regularly. It makes a good companions gun with my 44 mag. Marlin 1894 Marlin. The Marlin shoots 44 spl. without any problems. I do keep the 44 spl. to a minimum in the Marlin. ...

Remember in conn. they wanted firearm registration after the retarded kid shot up a school. Nobody would do it, including the police themselves.

Truly a beautiful old school shotgun! My gun shop has 3 or 4 Parker's in stock that I was looking at. Nowhere near the quality of your new purchase! I wanted one for many year's. Hopefully one day I run into one for the right price! Congratulations on a finely crafted shotgun! Do they have any 20’s...

Re: Resisting temptation
I myself just traded a AR15 for a 2006 JM 1895 Marlin cowboy in 45-70Goverment. It has the octagonal barrel in 26 inch barrel length. I managed to find 3 boxes' of Bullseye 405 gr. lead flat point. I only put 20 rounds thru it so far. It's the first 45-70 I've ever had and I'm enjoying it very much....

To me there is nothing like a good old Remington 870 for things that go bump in the night! I do have my old Sig P228 within arms reach also. I sure would enjoy having that Marlin for plinking! If you think $1,100.00 is crazy I saw a Marlin 1894 in 38 spl. only with the fake color casing for $1,600.00 on gunbroker. That's the model used for cowboy action. I always wanted on ,I just never saw on in person. Prices are pretty over blown for ...

I would like to see the pledge of elegance put back in the schools! Every morning in homeroom we would all stand with hands on our heart's! If that bothers some kids there parents could come and pick them up. Don't let them back in until they stand and recite the pledge!

Made in America lever gun's mean a lot to me! I have older Marlin's JM's and Winchester's. I want to shoot them all. I have had a few Henry's that were just not my cup of tea. Last year I came across a 1953 customized Remington 722 in 222. It had been converted for a lefty, which I am. It has a custom target barrel made by Gartman of Mass. Beautiful walnut stock. Here in southern Maine people want the 44 mag. I have two pre safety Marlin's 1894's,one in 44 mag the other in 357. I would love to find a Winchester or Marlin in 44-40. I don't think I've seen one in a least 10 year's.

I was wondering that myself. I just picked up a 1981 pre safety 1894 marlin. 44 mag,44 spl.
I picked up a box of 44 mags, the only 44 spl. were blazer so I passed on 44 spl.
I'm going to shooting soon. I also have a pair of ruger Blackhawk's in 44 spl. Great shooters!

Sometimes a little pricey. You could spend 3 or 4 hours in there!
