I hunted elk for 15 years with a bolt, 7mm mag.....until I got on this site. Now its a Marlin 45-70 and a Winchester 30-30.

The Silverton Casino/Hotel is attached to a huge Bass Pro Shop. You can walk right into the casino from the store. They have a really nice fine gun collection, indoor archery range, as well as a large selection of firearms.

bhk, I have the quick release mounted on an XS rail with XS ghost ring sights. They work great for me and the scope is right back on zero when taken off and replaced. The scope is a Leupold scout scope, 2.5x.

Cocked & Locked, You're correct on the tent. I got it from Cabelas about 8 years ago because of the height, (9' center). It's nice to be able to stand up to get dressed rather than go outside at 5am! And one of those small buddy heaters heats it up in a few minutes.
