The Silverton Casino/Hotel is attached to a huge Bass Pro Shop. You can walk right into the casino from the store. They have a really nice fine gun collection, indoor archery range, as well as a large selection of firearms.

Politics - Irish Perspective on Elections (Humor)
A buddy sent this to me: "We, in Ireland, can't figure out why people are even bothering to hold an election in the United States. On one side you have a gal who is a lawyer, married to a lawyer, running against a lawyer who is married to a gal who is a lawyer. On the other side, you have a war...

When you click on "video of attack....." about half way down it gives a detailed account of what happened. Apparently a policewoman shot him once and he still drove off. The off-duty soldier and an armed citizen tried to stop him but couldn't so the soldier took the gun from the armed citi...

Hopefully you can click on this site. It was sent around claiming to be Charlton Heston's gun vault but I believe that's been disproven. Still an impressive collection.
I had in in my email but I couldn't get the pictures to show up here. sorry.

Re: OT - Packin' Pistol
Thanks for the great responses!! To be frank, I've hunted the same area for 15 years and only saw one black bear and he was puny. I know there are big guys out there but I'm usually packing out with my brother or a friend. I've been using my Model 29 in a cross draw. The shoulder rig won't work for ...

OT - Packin' Pistol
What would you recommend for a pistol while packin' elk quarters. I hunt in N/W Wyoming west of Jackson. I don't like carrying my rifle while packing the quarters. I used to carry my S&W Model 29 .44 in 6" barrel. I was thinking about a big bore single action. I suppose it's more "want...

OT - New pistol from S&W
I saw a "new" revolver S&W put out. It's a .357 called the M&P TRR8. Basically it's a 8 shot .357 with a light rail and a rail for a small eotech or pistol scope. It has good reviews but I like my older S&W revolvers. Might make a good LE handgun. It carries as much as a Sig 22...

I don't think Irish Cop almost shot someone for playing cops and robbers or cowboys and indians. And yes, times have changed- alot. It is very common for gangs to use 9,10, 11 year old members to commit felonies and homicides. I had a 9 year old attempt to rob a 7-11 with a sawed off shotgun. He sai...

I've hunted elk for 15 years in Wyoming. My farthest shot was about 280 yards and another was about 200. All the rest were between 30-100 yards. What I was taught was to load up the mags and then strip one or two off. The reason is if you do a magazine switch with the bolt closed and a round in the chamber, it is much harder to seat a full magazine because the spring is completely compressed and it's pushing against the bolt with no give. if...

LEO's can but the laws vary from state to state. Most can shoot a fleeing felon if he/she poses a serious and immediate threat to civilians.
