I’m defending three cases that involve Operation Lone Star. The left is doing everything they can to shut it down.

I like the .327 and I have a couple of them.

But I think the .32 H&R makes better sense in an aluminum J frame.

I learned to load on a Lee loader with a plastic mallet loading for a DCM .30 Carbine. I did occasionally set off a primer while seating it. Loud at the kitchen table!

Gathering my stuff.

I know that this is a ridiculous exercise since I load thousands of rounds of .38/.357 on my Dillon 550 every year. But this is not meant to be practical. I actually want to load by a campfire.

I other mine with only two slots because I am never going to wear my pistol in a cross draw position but there isn’t a more comfortable way to carry a single action revolver.

I took it out this morning and was hitting 8 inch plates at 50 yards.

Nothing at all wrong with this one but it needed a slightly taller front blade. I happen to keep a small bag of FA front sights in the glove box.

A really soft gooey lube like that black moly/beeswax will totally shut down leading in a variety of loads but it really doesn’t ship well.

There are so many variables to take into consideration.

If I’m having a leading problem I often try a faster powder. I suppose it bumps the bullet differently but I don’t know.

We all have different tolerances for recoil and noise.

I am not throwing shade on the previous owner. I wish he or she had a good coach so they could have enjoyed this gun.

I’ve always thought that the guard in front of the cylinder was a really thoughtful feature of some British revolvers.

Pushes your holster open whenever you put it away.

That’s not my best shooting But it’s cold and I’ve never worked with this gun before.

Several groups were much better as I warmed up to it.

I had not even considered this issue. I know a number of right handed people who are left eye dominant. But they usually can learn to shoot a pistol well.

It appears that the barrel is screwed in correctly and the front sight appears to be at top dead center.

Cylinder gap is very tight as is expected on a FA and there’s no sign that the barrel is moving.

I do that as well. Round noses indicate a lesser charge of powder.

.38 it means 3 gr Bullseye
.44 it means 6 gr Unique
.45 it means 8 gr. Unique

SWC is a bit more

.38 means 5 gr Unique
.44 means 7.5 gr Unique
