Thanks, here are some pictures. looks like maybe someone put some solder on it in the past - maybe to solder a bead to it, or to try and make a bead out of solder. https://i.postimg.cc/MZsx2GX7/2023-5-11-10-2-58.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/dtLFqKTz/2023-5-11-10-3-47.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/tCwjJm37/20...

I just wanted to see if you thought $27 sounded like a 'normal' shipping cost for 2 boxes of ammo. I'm not sure how accurate these shipping calculators are.

I've got some ammo up for sale on GB. Haven't shipped ammo in several years. someone asked for a shipping quote to texas (from VA). I went to the UPS shipping calculator site, put in all the info and the quote was $27.48. Does that sound normal? Seems high but maybe that's what it costs. I'd be ship...

the front sight on my old 1894 winchester is missing the little bead. I was thinking that I should be able to file a flat spot/shelf into the little post and solder or epoxy a little bead onto it. I started because I have and have had several calibers that are either totally obsolete or uncommon and expensive to buy factory ammo for.
however, I'm branching out now to reload for more calibers since ammo even for common calibers have become expensive and hard to find. rediculous.

While no expert, I'd think given those parameters, leaving it as a 32WS would be best. I would probably at least try it as is before I altered an original 64. Unless of course, it has already been altered in some way. I agree with this. of course I strongly believe a person should do what he wants ...

I'm not a real sixgunner by any stretch, but I would personally be thrilled with 2" - 2.5" offhand groups at 25 yards. I doubt most people could do that with a rifle honestly.
you did some great shooting as far as I'm concerned.

Very nice rifle!! Nice job on the customizations! I'll never understand why Henry rifles have such a long LOP. I prefer a shorter LOP also - 13" - 13.25". The old savage and winchester leverguns were in that range. I must be slow or something, but I didn't catch what caliber the rifle is.

I actually read the article and I thought it made sense and I agree with it.
For hunting DEER the 30-30 will kill DEER just as dead but with much less recoil and with less expensive ammunition.
Seems pretty straight forward to me.
he isn't making any arguments above or beyond the above.

for Deer In VA the minimum caliber is I think .23 cal. centerfire (in counties that allow rifles that is). that's the only regulation. pistols must produce at least 350 ft. lbs. airguns must be at least 35 cal. muzzleloading rifles must be at least 40 cal.

The 32-40 also measured .415 above the rim and .342 at the case mouth. So either they are both straight walled, or neither are. Unless the states specify the amount or a...

I doubt that the velocity will be 'substantially' enhanced by the 24" barrel. It could even be less. I could totally be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that (for example) a .22 lr will be faster out of a 16" barrel than 24" barrel because at some point, once max velocity is achieved then t...
