I have a verity of calibers and lee makes it affordable to load all of them. That said I don't shoot large quanities of ammo . So lee works fine.

I use the dippers for plinking loads. Large flake powders like Unique are a little harder to get consistant scoops. Rifle I wieght the charge.

Junkbug, It's the Williams fool proof that works. The lyman 66WB won't get low enough with out the windage adjustment screwhead hitting the receiver. The fool proof is wider and clears the receiver on the non mounting side. If the adjustment screw head wasn't so big on the Lyman it would work. Trust...

My neighbor bought one last year in 35 rem and wacked 2 coyotes during deer season. They are very mechanically cool. There is a model 14 in 32 rem at gunshop near me for $340 . I'm afraid to go there because I'll spend money I don't have. I need to buy one someday.

Glenfield have micro groove barrels . They are the same execpt for the stamping on the barrel and hardwood not walnut stocks. They usually run under $200 .

If you reload don't use the 180 grain Remington round nose. My gun doesn't have a very long throat . The 180 's would shoot awsome , but that was because they were contacting the rifling. Sorry , I checked my Savage catalog and the model 25 is only in 223 and 204. I ran a cross a used handi rifle in 22 hornet last year for $150 and should of bought it right away because it didn't last long.

The problem I had with the 22 hornet was price. Most manufactures put it in their standard short action rifles. Gunshops around me are buying a lot guns right now from walk ins. I seen a 1892 in 25-20 octagon barrel on thursday made in the 20's and a marlin 57 in 22mag in mint shape. It sure fun to handle the old stuff.

My 96/ 22 has a 10 lb trigger pull. Bought it for the kids . They have to use 2 fingers to pull the trigger. I'm not sure if the after market 10/22 triggers are the same.

I was reading about the 33 Winchester. I was wondering if a Marlin 45-70 could be converted to this. The OAL of 33 win is 2.795 and 45 -70 is 2.550 inches.

So the question is what is the maximun length cartridge the Marlin action can handle ? Or is this cartridge only good in the 1886 or 1895 win?

Iceman . Thats what I thought when I measured them , but I don't always remember correctly. I do know the sierra 200 grain have the crimp groove in the right spot. I measured them off a bullet board my buddy had hanging on his cabin wall.

It fits great I was going to use it this last year deer hunting .But I just have a hard time not hunting with the 356. I really need to shoot a deer with the 88. I put a after market 94 stock on mine. I think it might of been a boyds. I bought it at the bargain cave at Cabelas. I had to do a little inletting . But I would have had to do that even with a 94. The most wood had to be cut out for the coil spring . It was set up for leaf springs.

Iceman is the crimp groove in the right spot on the 200 grain hornadys? I thought the crimp groove on the 200 grains was set up for the 35 rem. Anyway the 356 will have more range than the 35 rem and 375 win. I've clocked my 356 at 2400fps with 200 grain. Not sure what the 375 will do with a 200 gra...

Midway is like anywhere else. Some prices are good some aren't. But if your patient Midway will usually have something on sale at agood price that you need. The other thing is that they seem to keep a lot of inventory so you can do one stop shopping instead of paying shipping from 2 or 3 other place...
