Nice find. The condition looks the same as mine in 35 Win. The 1895s are my favorites. Much better balanced to carry than the 1886.

I have been shooting my 22/45 with the heavy barrel for over a decade. It is very accurate and reliable. I can put any 1911 grips on mine. I use the pachmyers.

This is the first site I ever became a member of. I remeber that I was in Virginia for three weeks for work. Sitting in the hotel room one night and ran across this site and I thought wow here is a bunch of Levergun throw backs like myself. It was very refreshing. I have learned a lot on this site.

Loaded 500 rounds of 32 H&R last night and I think I might actually finish restocking the 99 savage.Been putting a thin coat of Linseed oil on everynight and letting it sit by the wood stove. Social distancing comes natural for me. Spent Sunday afternoon cutting firewood.

Ruger 96 is the Starling gun next to the deck door. Plinking is done with Ruger 22/45 and Marlin model 39. I have plenty more to shoot but those are the go to guns.

You don't need to take the bolt out to work on the trigger. I just replaced the trigger return spring with a lighter one and dropped the trigger pull by 2 .5 pounds. They use a very heavy spring to push the trigger forward for reset. I beleive I had to remove the rear pin in the receiver. Which has ...

Pull the tips off the bullets and try it. Take the bolt out and play with different angles of the carrier. It might be lifting the cartridge too high or not high enough. Its a fat cartridge so the angle has to correct to enter the chamber.

The 375 barrel I have has front ramp sight not a dove tail, so that might be a better option. I beleive Jes can cut you dove tail for the forend cap.

The Win 94 BB 375 barrel measures .610 at the muzzle. So this shouldn't be a problem boring out to 38-55. It has a barrel band so it doesn't have the holes for the forend cap.

I bought a 350 Legend upper from Bear Creek Arsenal for $225 for a winter AR build project. At that price I can play with it this winter and see how it performs.

I use AA5 in all my standard pressure 32 caliber loads. 32 ACP, SW long,H&R, 327 Fed. For the 32-20 - 4.5 to 5.5 grains of AA5 with 115 gr bullet is a pleasant load. The accuracy is good ,nothing awesome, good for plinking. I will be trying Six's load of 4 grains of Unique and compare accuracy. ...

I get about 8 MPs on my DSL. Netflix and Amazon works just fine because the way they compress the files. Live streaming something on the internet can sometimes have an issue.

For skunks I use a shotgun. Shoot them in the head and then shoot'em again. Then you got about 10 minutes to dig a hole before they start releasing their perfume. The key is to kill them right away so they don't flop around and spray.

Spend a lot of time on a 29 foot C&C in my twenties. Never sailed the carribean. My friend got his licensing so we could rent a boat in the Keys, but he got married and it never happened. Have fun with it!

I have my fathers 742 in 30-06. The first deer I seen shot was my Dad with that gun. We were party hunting and walking out to do a drive. I was about 8 years old. I was following him as we walked past a big log and a doe jumped up and took off. My dad took a shot and dropped it. It happened so fast....

Dealing with CWD in Wisconsin since 2002. Been eating deer the whole time. I am not sure how bad it is for the deer population. I think the DNR allowing you to shoot as many deer as you wanted in the southern part of state affected the population more. CWD has still contuinued to spread.

The BLR in 308 with straight stock is closest thing to carrying a Win 94 or Marlin 336 in 30-30. The weight and balance is excellent. I prefer one in 260 also. But a 6.5 levergun sounds like fun for antelope. So I will probably have to put one on the list. When they did a questionaire last year I requested 260 or 6.5 Creedmoore for a new cartridge option.
