Re: Watch your backstop when shooting...
Our range rents or gives range time to a couple local law enforcement agencies, and when they're there the range they use is our 100 yd. range, and it's shut down during their time. I've often been out there at the time they're supposed to be finished so I could start shooting, and occasionally they...

I worked in a large downtown building back around 1980 when city police first switched to high capacity Glock handguns. We had a woman with an Uzi walk up outside the entry area and begin waving it around. A lot of panic of course, but some stupid bystanders just stood inside the double glass entry ...

Had a TURP in November. Glad I did. Tamsulosin and Proscar failed me. My urologist prescribed Tamsulosin temporarily to help me get by until she could do the surgery. It helped, but I could never consider it a long term fix, or even good enough for short term. It saved me some discomfort, but not e...

So pleased for you Vall. I am still not sure which route I will go but it is good to know the old TURP still works. Bringing this back up, simply because I'm sure there are others in their retirement years who might be having similar problems and considering a procedure in the future. All my loads for hunting with my old 1800's single shots and Marlin lever guns have been plain flat point cast bullets. On light game like deer all have been pass throughs, with what appeared to be a pretty straight path. I've never had a deer go more than maybe 20 ft. before dropping. But I have ha...

I was loading up .45ACP today and found two boxes of 185 gr. JHP Sierra bullets in my bullet storage. Boxes of 100 were marked with a $6 price tag. I guess I've stashed them long enough, so loaded up 200 rds. with 6.0 grs. Unique at 775 fps. Makes a nice comfortable load to shoot.

The Howa has a great reputation for good reason. They use the reliable Mauser 98 style action, with a strong extractor. Howa also have a 3 position safety so you can unload the magazine without having to switch the safety off. Yours appears to have the HS Precision Kevlar stock, which is in my opini...

I think if that handle is marked for the .38 Special then it likely predates the 310 tools, although 310 dies will fit it.
