Nice going man. It's fun to just shoot, but it's also fun to place, ain't it. I miss our Lever Action Silly wet. I still have my match rifle but haven't shot it since the range closed. Lever Silhouette shooting with the Handgun Silhouetters
My local range (the COSSA range east of Bend, Oregon) has a bunch of members and a variety of different shoots but there are no Cowboy Silhouette shoots. I also have used TrailBoss for accurate low power loads with jacketed bullets, but have not done so in .223 as I don't imagine it would cycle the action in my AR. I asked QuickLoad about your 62 grain bullet and it thinks 7.5 grains of it would get you about 1750 fps and 30k psi at 100% fill (2.26&q...

I have been one of those who whimpered about the poor accuracy of 180 grain bullets in a Rossi levergun. I've been finding "range lead" which is lead salvaged from shooting ranges for sale. Stuff has been running about 8 to 10 on the BHN scale which is pretty soft and would be just fine for your low-velocity loads. Heck, pure lead would work fine at those levels but if you have it buy it the ...
