Sorry to hear of the troubles. I have a EPS two gun double loop rig with money belt my wife at the time got me for Christmas quite a while back. They got it delivered on time and it's beautiful. Belt is a bit small but idk how she ordered it. I can wear it but it's a tight cinch sometimes. I like th...

Yep Forgot to mention, that this particular Marlin made it out of the factory w/out being drilled and tapped for a receiver sight. Found that rather odd. Re: 6.5 Needmoor vs .243 Win.
6.5 Creedmoor offers nothing new in the hunting fields. It’s popular though which means availability and development. Well designed for long range applications. I would take it over 243 any day for anything over about 80 pounds just on the virtue of bullet weight. But if you have a 6.5x55, 260, 270,...

Always thought a 356 would be an ideal hunting cartridge in a tube gun but they were scarce by the mid nineties. Passed on a deeply scratched one once and regretted it. Thought I might get a 338 MX to fill the niche, but slept on that too then they went away. If you like something new or unpopular, ...

Re: Best Lever Action Cartridges.
I always felt the 30-30 was popular because of the Winchester 1894 and the later Marlins rather than its own merits. Much flatter than the likes of 44 WCF, 38-55 or 45-70 sure, but if you consider its bolt action contemporaries of the time, it never was all that ballistically innovative. I maintain ...

All of those cartridges are excellent for at least some things. Bear in mind, these were the author’s opinion on the best that came from certain time periods. 30-30, 45-70, and various revolver length cartridges definitely dominate today. Most everything else is not made anymore and difficult to fin...

I don’t see how they were ever NFA compliant. If You cut the barrel of your rifle to 10 inches you have a SBR. Put a buttstock on a Contender with a pistol barrel-SBR. That’s why trappers, UZI, MP5, AR, AK, etc carbines for U.S. civilians have barrels of least 16 inches. I never saw how making a AR ...

I read the article. Its slightly faster than 35 Remington and significantly faster than 350 Legend. Doesn't kick much and kills well as you might expect from a slightly faster 35 Rem. Performance seems to be right between 35 Rem and 375 win. It doesn't hang with 356, 338 MX, 444.. good cartridge but...

Unique is extremely versatile and there is so much data from mouse guns to twelve gauge. Power Pistol is pretty good too at least from 9mm/38 to 45s.
I found Unique to meter much more precisely with a dedicated pistol powder drum.

I think the main attribute this cartridge has over other straight walls is that it will run in a AR-15 possibly in standard 5.56 mags and with the same capacity. See above. I haven’t but it shouldn’t be difficult. I would probably go with Unique for a traditional power load, crimp enough that youbullets don’t get pushed in and off you go. Trail Boss would be fine if you want a lighter load. I don’t know about 4227 in a 1860.

When I was a teenager NC had some pretty convoluted manner of taking laws. Small game could be taken with a 22 pistol not less than six inches. Probably depends on the specific 38 load as to whether it will function. I would think the journey from the magazine to the elevator would be the most critical phase. If you kept over all length similar 38s could work. Think lots of lead sticking out of the case. Not wadcutters or 110s.
