Hi Paul: I've got a Uberti .38 Spcl Schofield , and I just checked it with the HKS Speedloader from my Ruger GP100 .357 Mag. It's an HKS Model #586, and while the nose of the bullets would enter the top-break's cylinder OK, they were spread out "just enough" that the release knob would not...

I've always found that a good waterproofing dressing -- by spray, liquid or cream -- will slightly darken leather. Seems that should work well on suede too. And if it's still not "dark enough"... Then at least it will be waterproof! Or maybe you could add some small amount of brown shoe po...

I used to have a nickel-plated Bersa 380, and there was once a post on the BersaTalk forum about avoiding any ammonia-based solvent -- including Hoppe's No9 -- on nickel guns. I only used naptha (lighter fluid) on the 2 nickel top-breaks that I own.

Joe, I think I remember reading where a Heat Gun was used to melt it, and also to heat up the barrel some too. Be careful though, as it's like a Blow Dryer On Steroids!!! :wink:

Maybe a Google search on "how to heat Cerrosafe" would give you some good ideas.
