Joe - Not a dumb question at all. The press has studiously avoided mentioning Paul because they fear him. He actually follows the Constitution! His desire to immediately pull out of Iraq is just dead wrong though. I understand his disagreement with Iraq in a Constitutional sense - Congress did not d...

I've said it before, and I'll say it again - I will vote for the devil himself in a race against Hillary. I don't want McCain to be the nominee, but he may have a good chance of beating Hillary as he will pull in the moderate and independent vote. He is certainly just the lesser of two evils - and n...

Bruce - When you are ready to finish the room, put a moisture barrier primer on the block walls first. Also be sure to seal the floor - really good, as a lot of moisture wicks up through concrete in basements. Then add a dehumidifier with an exit tube to a drain - which is hopefully in another room....

I have seen LEO's around the country carrying 1911's - always catches my eye and puts a smile on my face. You may want to check around, get a list of other departments who issue/allow them, and build your case on numbers. Bottom line, as you stated in your original e-mail, someone in need of a carry...

Is this guy nuts or just smoking something funny?
I've been following an auction on GunBroker since well before Christmas on a Winchester 92 in .25-20. The seller had it listed as a "buy now" for $799, then reduced it to $699 before Christmas. It has been relisted a dozen times and never topped $600. No wonder - it is obviously refinished...

Re: Gun History
The method of extermination was not always quick, as the Russians and Chinese, as well as North Korea, show a predilection for starvation. Spot on FALPhil - I have used this website and data often in debates. As for those countries "predilection for starvation", it is simply because bulle...

Great post OS!!! Here Here! We went through the same thing in the UK when they took our handguns and scrapped them. On a side note somewhat related, there is a segment of our society that want the big companies to taxed at a higher rate than they are. The problem with that mindset is big business doesn’t pay tax. You and I pay it for them in the form of price increases for the goods and services they provide. ...

Didn't check the links - in an airport with a slow connection. From just a matter of principle though: Tax cuts are ALWAYS good - letting people keep more of what they earn is always more moral than taking more from them; Tax cuts have always helped the economy (see JKF and Reagan's examples) Tax cu...
