I would worry about the importation of lead next. That will really slow things down even more. There are no more lead smelters in the USA. Only China now has them.

Steve, That sucks...........anybody over the age of 50 remembers well when stuff was built to last. The OLD Maytags are great. Our dishwasher is every bit of 20 years old and up to now.....no issues. OK, got it fixed. Wasn't too bad, it was a different shape than the original, but works fine. The worse part was after I got water line and a rubber hose, I think its for telling the unit if it has pressure, then the power hooked up. Looks like the water inlet valve. What garbage GE makes. The parts are just cheap enough that you will get replacements instead of a new one. Looks like they want repair bills as much as not lasting worth a pelosi.

The refrigerator is what really upset me off, they say 17-20 years is the life expectancy of that appliance, it works fine as long as the "control board" is good.
