Jacketed bullets?? I'm too cheap to buy 'em. Back in '72 when I started to load for the 30 WCF, I may have bought 3 or 4 boxes of 170 Sierra's. From there on and about 10,000 rounds later, its been a 175 gr. cast gas check out of several dozen 30's.-----------Sixgun

We got about 8" here in S.E.Pa. Not enough for the plant to shut down :( But that wind! 45 mph gusts really suck. And the temps! 20 degrees outside and just a tad better in the warehouse I work in. Cheap company I work for--they won't turn the heaters on until the soda starts to freeze.--------...

The nitre bluing of the screws really sets off a nice contrast. :D

As for the oversized throats, you would be amazed at what the Lyman 454424 sized .454 will do for your fat chambered gun. The large diameter front band really helps to true things up.---------------Sixgun

It don't matter---any conversion done by anybody on any Winchester, is just that--a conversion. Winchester never made that animal. Yea, it ain't cheap to belong to a gunclub, but it sure is cheaper than paying the electric bill or stupid car insurance. My buddy Tom charges $10 an hour and you can shoot just about anything there except tracers. He even has full auto guns to rent. But.........you gotta buy HIS ammo for rental gun...
