thanks.I bought a CZ82 this year.if you can get one before they are gone. very sweet trigger.they have a polygonal bore like a glock and very accurate. I cast for my maks so went out and tried cast loads in the cz 82.no problems and no leading.it sure shot alot better than the wolf I was trying out....

the lyman 264 gr sized .377 shoots pretty good out of mine. imho :lol: the ruger SP101 is pretty hard to beat for packing.I bought a pancake holster and when hunting it sure rides nice on the hip when carring my hunting gear/rifle.

lots of good info here. made it to the range at ft hood this morning and tried out the new t/c ecore 45/70 barrel.it likes cast :D . load 350 gr ranch dog gc 29.0 grs AA5744 rem brass win lr primer .926 I would guess the velocity around 1500 fps(24" barrel) and no leading. they only had the 50 meter line open today as...

I have used both unique and 2400 both powders are excellent in the 45 colt.
on the AA5744 yup in a pistol it does leave unburnt powder in the bore.that said it is the cats *** in my leverguns and the best I have "ever" used in my 45/70 period.

I brewed up a batch of the 350 gr ranch dog yesterday.I am going to use them hunting this year in the marlin 1895SS.
with casting your own it comes out to....$2.67 a box :D for the powder/primers and gas checks.

it packs easy.this holster I got from midway for like 14.00.its a uncle mikes and it does a fine job when out at the ranch.3 rds snake shot next 2 with a 158 gr swc gc.I hate snakes :) .

another vote for casting.I cast for all my rifles but the 223's.ditto for my handguns.

scoped the marlin

well finally got around to scoping a lever :shock: .I put a leupold 2x7 on the 1895ss and headed out to the range.kind of nice seeing a clear sight picture :D :D .

the marlin printed some fine groups with the ranch dog 350's.the scope did make a difference.
