I just went to Winchester's Web site, and they no longer list any loads in .348 Winchester. When did they drop this load?

I just ordered a copy of Ian Toll's "Six Frigates, The Epic History of the Founding of the U.S. Navy." Supposed to be the best book on the subject.

Rock Steady, I had a Ruckus for several years. Fun ride. Top speed about 45 mph. Just be advised the combination of modest power and unaggressive tires make it unsuitable for off-road/trail use. Just not enough traction and poop.

Pete44ru: My brand spankin' new .25-35 Tomcat reamer and a first-year 336 are up at John Taylor Machine as we speak, awaiting a new barrel.
That reamer will be available for borrowing when I get it back.

Scratched a lens shooting a tang peep on a Marlin 336 Cowboy with hot-loaded .38-55s. No issues with lesser calibers.

Do keep us in the loop Ted. And you are getting good advice about hold. Most springers like to be held as loosely as possible so they can do their forward-backward recoil thing ... Lock them down on a rest and they will always disappoint.

Brent took first in this long-range muzzleloading rifle match last March at Oak Ridge, Tenn.
He was doing well after day one at 200 and 300 yards, leaving day two with 600- and 1,000-yard targets.
Will post when I hear results.

I had one I built with 1-inch plywood using the folding leg kits (think church potluck tables) you can get at Home Depot. Often just used a five-gallon bucket for my seat. Don't think I have a photo.
