Find a decent Marlin CL 32-20.115gr lazercast loaded like the factory rounds=pretty tame.Hornady XTP's loaded hot are murder on groundhogs. once Your setup reloading for it the .22's and .22mag will gather dust. just My $02.

Very Nice Kirk, in one of My favorite calibers as well. My Marlin is no classic yet, but about a month ago I picked up a Ruger Blackhawk 32-20 just to keep the Marlin company. what a fun cartdrige. :) .

Budrick,Welcome to the Leverguns :) . The load You show for the Colt is in the Lyman 49th edition Reloading Handbook on page 390.it is listed as a "starting load" with a velociety of 777fps out of a revolver. given the extra barrel length of a rifle it should shoot about 1100fps out of You...

Nath& Joe, it's the 200grn Hornady ammo. And Yes I will do some pictures next time Joe. the Remington 250grn ammo is supposed to be out in a few weeks and that will be pretty interesting. I want to shoot it off the bench and compare how the ammo shoots. yesterday was a quick look see :) .

Early this year when I saw Remington was comeing out with their core-loct ammo for the Marlin it pushed Me over the edge. I have had the MX for about six weeks now but haven't shot it. today we have a heat wave in Ohio it was 59* at 1:30 today . there is about a foot of slushy snow back in the woods...

Very Good Job. I have one and it's a beater that really shoots. the stock is really dinged up and i plan on filling the holes and pressed checkering and painting it with krylon camo. It would fill a need for an all weather go to gun. these are the sleeper of the Leverworld. :) .
