gonna be in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area for awhile. Right now I am at my oldest daughter's and having a great time. The only thing ... this used to be a nice little town. Now it is so crowded it is unbelievable! But ... I guess that was 60 years ago. Time does change things.

Close. Diameter is a bit small for my application. Glen Fryxell pointed me to a guy who casts and sells them for $15 a hundred. I have an order on the way and I can get by til I find a mould.

Shot it with .44 Special loads using the 250 gr. Keith bullet ... 7.0 gr. Unique ... nice pleasant load. Hit quite high at 50 yards ... a little low at 110 yards but was accurate enough to hit a 3 foot section of 4x4 post that was standing up. 250 gr. Keith bullet in .44 Special with 16.5 gr. 2400. ...

I cheated on my final year of production Trapper by replacing the whole lower factory coil spring lower tang with a leaf spring tang from an early 70s model. The trigger went from a borderline acceptable 4.5 pounds to a smooth as silk 2.5 pounds but the best part was it now had a halfcock! Excellen...

Jim, If I might ask, why did you replace the mainspring on your 94? My 1980 Trapper has it's original spring and goes bang right nicely. Joe I was fixing it so it would run smoother ... cutting coils off the original spring. But I got it to where ignition was erratic. Would not set off a hard prime...

According to Speer the pressures are safe. 32 gr. H322 with the Speer 130 gr. bullet is midway between the light load and the maximum load in their loading manual. Quickload is neat. I did not mention that I am shooting a Model 94 Trapper. I am getting those velocities from the short barrel. I have a target here from a guy who is experimenting with LVR and the 130 gr. Speer. He is getting over 2800 fps and the target has 3 shots, all touching, at 150 yards. From a Marlin 30-30....

SAAMI specs for the 32-20

Bore .305"
Groove .311"
Bullet .3125

These vary but most bullets for the 32-20's are .311" from the manufacturers. There are no accuracy issues with them.
