I shot .44-40's out of my 410 when I was a kid. Made a really neat slug load.

EDIT: I also shot .30-30's. Pointed straight up the bullet would go about 15 feet or so. Big boom. If the brass didn't split I reloaded them with shot.

When I was in Corrections we carried the 870 with a 20 inch barrel. Our issue load was #4 Buckshot.

Messing around with some .22 caliber round balls in the air rifle, I hit upon the idea of loading and shooting them in my little .22 caliber Bearcat Shopkeeper. No powder charge, just the priming. And it worked pretty well! So from there I decided to see how they compared to the Colibri .22's loaded...

Well done! My Dad gave me one like that when I was 10 years old. He had cut the barrel to 16" and shortened the stock so it fit me. I learned to hunt with it .... being a single shot I learned to make the first shot count. i had that gun til I was 16 or 17 and discovered girls and hot rods .......

Yessir! I put the XR3 gripframe on all my Rugers that had the redesigned gripframe. As you know, I put some Colt stocks on my old single six.

I like that bullet in the .44 ... something about shooting the old traditional bullets appeals to me. Especially when they are known to be accurate.
