Do you have anyway to check to headspace?

I've see a few .44-40 M92's converted to .44 Magnum that developed headspace issues from hot loads. Some required numerous rounds to do so, others a very small number. & considering that you have no idea of this rifle's history....

I've known a few guys who firearms were stolen. In each cases, they had them on display or told to many people about their "collection"....

They're all my favorites, or I would not have them.

But the two I really enjoy are my Ballard #5 Pacific, .45-2.1" (AKA .45-70) & my 23 pound Shiloh - Sharps M1874, .45-2.4" (erroneously AKA .45-90).
