I watch Kentucky Ballistics regularly, he's probably my favorite of several guntubers I follow. You can definitely see how his content has evolved from what his earliest were. Alot of fun to watch now, and educational to boot. He seems like a genuinely good guy. His collection of double rifles alone...

Grabagun is waaaay over MSRP on the new Rug-Lins. I'd have to double check but I'm almost certain MSRP on the 1895 SBL is $1299. Grabagun ππ» Just trying to keep Marlin-itis alive. I have a couple online friends who have picked up new SBL and 1895 Trapper for MSRP and in a couple cases a bit less.

I used to be tough, but I got over it. The years between 45 and 55 are very dangerous for guys because they still feel tough and vigorous. They believe that they can just push through anything. Glad to hear the infamous fit and finish of the Rossi's may be a thing of the past. Most common complaint I have seen is sharpness of the loading port in the receiver and other surfaces/edges. My brother has one such specimen in 44mag. Aside from that it functions and shoots quite well.

Add me to the list of AA5744 fans for old cartridges. It is working great in my 45-60. I've also tried it in 45-70 as well as 45-90. Good low ES and SD. I have not used fillers of any kind with it.

As far as ease of carry, I don't find my 4" 29-2 to be burdensome. Definitely not a t-shirt concealable piece but it doesn't ride overly heavy on a descent gun belt in a forward canted two slot holster.
