Re: Shooting and/or Loading Strange Shotgun Ammo
Had another box that were miniature nuclear bombs made into 410 shotgun shells. They would go about 20 miles then blow up...even had the mushroom cloud but the cloud was only about 100 meters high. They would totally wipe out warehouses, huge buildings, overpasses, and even small mountains. Hey Six...

As far as I know there is nothing that speaks of other life beside here on earth.Bullard4075 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 07, 2021 12:43 am Mr Jim, Is there ANYTHING in the Bible even suggesting other life besides us? Demons (angels) aside. Anyone is also free to comment.

I don't have any ammunition that is old enough to have splits showing on the neck. I guess it is possible to occur with age of the cartridges. Brass does not split just because it is old. I have fired cartridges that were 60 to 80 years old and never had any of them split. Like you say, brass work ...

Back in the 1960's a group who called themselves The Minutemen published a little manual on what all you can do with a single shot 12 gauge shotgun and handloads. They had everything from flares to armor piercing rounds ... stuff you don't usually hear about. I think they made the first Dragon's Bre...

Brass Cartridges .....
About 35 or 40 years ago the prevailing wisdom among ( internet edit: my mistake . see post below ) shooters of the .45 Colt was that Remington brass was the weakest of all the brass available. I read stories where people said the cases were so weak that the case heads would separate from the body ....

Charlie Askins held the pistol championship for 5 years I believe it was. He said shooting thousands and thousands of pistol rounds a year at bullseyes for 5 years drove him to shooting rifles. I could see that happening.

I like the loading lever on the 1860 and the 1861 better than the earlier ones also.
1851 Loading Lever
1860 Loading Lever (same design as the 1861) I have bent the screws on the 1851 when loading oversize balls or conicals.
