I was hunting geese years ago in Wharton Texas, when a friend suggested I try his 10 gage sxs. I tried it, and both barrels went off when I noticed my ears were cold - it knocked my hat right off. I did get three Canada geese that day, all with my 870 and hot loads.

I saw a black one two-three years ago cross the road in front of my truck about 70 yards away. He was about 130 lbs, real nice and fat with a long tail - could not see the eyes. In a not obvious place, experiment to find a substance that will cut the stain and leave the finish...Using a q-tip, try alcohol, water, or naptha. Sometimes deionized water will remove stuff with a lot of elbow grease.
