Thanks a ton for the article. Been wondering for a long time. I wouldn't amount to a pimple on any of these folks rears, but if I were sneak in I would most likely have my NM 4 5/8 BH .45 convertible, and the Ruger 4.25" SP 101 in .327. Both in Simply Rugged pancakes.

Crusty, how do you differentiate the atlatl from the arrow points? That's a great question. I sure wouldn't claim to know for sure. I can only speculate by studying collector's guidebooks in order to learn established point type to date range associations, which are based on archaeology reports. Th...

I dusted off and snapped a couple pics of some of my native artifact collection. I wanted to show an authentic version of American knife making. The black knife blade is from the Adena culture, circa 200 b.c to 200 a.d.

Seems there are several here interested in bows and other primitive weapons so I thought I would share this. It was made and given to me by a friend who is into flint knapping in appreciation for letting him hunt on my place. Blade is obsidian.

I'd sure be bragging on that hunt. Other than migratory birds, I am sol for bird hunting. The grouse disappeared after the turkeys were reestablished, and we have never had enough quail to hunt. I need to find a pay to play outfit.

Been hankering to try a SxS for quite a while to see if I like them. I'm really curious about this wildcat. Wondering if any one has any experience with it. I think I read it was also called .22-30. . I was gonna say......"32-20".....but since nobody else said that, I'm guessing they never made the Colt SAA in that chambering. If so, it would be a SWEET gun, and I think my favorite, as I like my Ruger Blackhawk 'Buckeye' in 32-20 quite a bit. They made plenty in .32-20. I'm guessing ...
