Its gonna be pretty pricey to have one built. Might be cheaper to buy a henry in 41 and then get someone to mill the octagon barrel down to a round profile ti reduce the weight.

Re: Why 357 only?

That makes sense.

I only ask because my favorite "magnum" load is built on 38 +p brass. It will not feed at all using magnum brass since C.O.A.L is too long but is phenominal in the 38 +p configuration.

Why 357 only?

My "google-fu" failed me on this. Why, do newer Miroku 1892's, say 357 mag only? I have run some 38s through mine with no problems. Is there an issue?

POI changes

I have been tinkering with 357 mag rifle loads lately and noticed that there was HUGE variances in point of impact points depending on the projectiles used. It seems the model of projectile affects POI even when velocities are very close. I have seen impact points that 4-6" different between 4 ...

Re: Cowboy Assault Rifle

I carried an AR professionally for most of my life but now that I am retired, I always grab a levergun, not in 30-30 though. I typically choose 45 colt or 357 mag as my go-to rifles. If I cant handle the problem with 13rds of 357 or 12 rounds of 45 colt, then I am in over my head anyway. And, lets b...

We age all of our venison for 4 to 5 days in the spare fridge. It REALLY allows it to tenderize as the muscle fibers break down. Temp is 40 degrees. We set the meat into pasta strainers so the blood.leaks away and doesnt taint it.

My Rossi in 357 mag has handled 357 mag loads are are above or equal too most 30-30 loads with no problems. The brass stretches a little but no sticky extraction, mildly flattened primers but no cratering. The 158s and 180s hit deer, rabbit, woodchucks and yotes like a bolt of lightening. They will ...
