What I Carry The Colt In

I've had a couple of posters athere ask "what do you carry that SAA in?" I have cowboy rigs that were custom made by Tinsleep but what I use for everyday is a copy of a holster that came with an 1894 CFSS. It carries the revolver very high and tight against the body. The original got too f...

Re: COLT SAA THAT GETS CARRIED

All SAAs had that screw to begin with. Colt changed it to the cross-pin latch about the middle of the 1890s. Didn't all happen at once as they used up the parts on hand. Even though the model 77 had the latch in 1877 they didn't use it on the SAA for another decade or so. Fond memories of cheap SAAs...

Cool bikes bro. There was a time when this old fat man rode 7 miles a day on a balloon tired single speed. I think I still have the frame and forks for that bike which I got for Christmas when I was 8. Had a motor on it at one time. Thanks for the call man.

This is my Colt SAA 45 that was made in 1927. I haven't lettered it yet but am sure it has newer than original nickel. Well done though. It has a shiny bore, tight action and shoots really good. https://i.imgur.com/bk5qYKw.jpg?1 https://i.imgur.com/9wI6G4M.jpg?2 https://i.imgur.com/jkhJ1EB.jpg?1 htt...

It's no secret that I love old SAAs. Especially COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTERs which is the caliber mark for 44-40. I've had the etched panel guns but I like the roll mark which started in 1890. I have 6 of them. The oldest is from 1894: https://i.imgur.com/pcqXci6.jpg?1 https://i.imgur.com/iXZuSXF.jpg?...

I like the Lee Factory Crimp die because it virtually eliminates the possibility of having a bullet set back inside the case thus raising pressure to who knows what. I consider that a problem with tubular magazines but you can eliminate that by just using black powder. I do both.
