This one came in a batch of ten that my Grandfather bought from the DCM for $14 each. I still have the receipt! Tey sporterized all but this one and was always my favorite. It does have the two groove barrel dated 12/42. One of the earliest I've seen. Great shooter that loves 170 gr cast bullets. jb...

They did once. Had to back track 1/2 mile to find them You would think something that big would make some noise hitting the ground.
Tightened up the laces and hasn't happend since.

I got a call from the taxidermist yesterday that the hide from the fallow deer I got up at 86er's place in November was done. Got it home and thought it looked good enough for some pictures! Finally got a couple hours to myself this morning and headed off to the range wih my Trals End 94 .45Colt that I picked up couple months ago. I'd only had it out once before and was really dissapointed in the accuracy. Was not getting any better than 5" groups at 50 yds! Finally had the thought...

Mine wouldn't until I had it worked over. My Marlins are hit and miss. The 45Colt and the 41Mag I had would feed anything but my .44 will feed a standard swc but not the wide flat nose.
Sometimes they need a little tweaking.

700.00 seems like alot for a Marlin but that is a pretty scarce rifle. The 38-55 is a classic round and darned addictive. Once you start you just can't stop!
