Great post Jim! I would like to see one of those better-fied Pythons. I have never shot a .41 Mag, and that needs to be corrected. Maybe Ruger could do the GP100 in a 5 shot .41 Mag. Looks to me like a simple issue of supply and demand.

Because of the laws where they are manufactured they aren't able to produce enough of them to draw the price down.

That and they put a lot of custom finishing work into them.

Thanks for sharing that experience.

I love hunting in south Texas and Big Bend area. Most of my experiences were a couple miles farther west between Fort Stockton and north of Terlingua.

Haven't been down that way in a few years now.

But I do remember the place fondly.
