Re: on topic lever pics

jumbeaux, it's a 1958 series 2, short wheel base station wagon, petrol engine. Unfortunately it's not mine and is just rotting away on the farm. The last land Rover I had was a series 1, 1956 SWB soft top. I wish I still had it! I don't even have that Uberti 73 .22 anymore, stupid is as stupid...

I used to live near a farm in Herefordshire that exported a lot of Herefords to America in the 1870s,
The Farm was called "The Lean" near the village of Pembridge.

Re: OT - Homeowner shoots bear w/ shotgun (birdshot & Rubber)

Bird shot will get the job done at close range and if that's all that's in the chamber when trouble comes your way but I would have thought choice would be nice, especially if you're not sure what brand of trouble may come a knocking. I also agree that small kids and firearms do not mix but neither ...

It's a Larsen-Winterros! Designed by August L. Larsen and C.E. Winterros of Liege, Belgium. 1884.
According to Luggs Firearms Past & Present it does have a tubular magazine under the barrel.

I bought an Erma .22 Lever action back in the eighties when I was a full time gamekeeper on an estate in Worcestershire.
I later swapped it for a circa 1960 Mountie.

First S/A was a Uberti 1851 Navy .36 which I later traded for another C/B Colt clone.
