First one got completely worn out and thrown away. Second one was a Normark Little Swede folding single blade with Mora stainless steel. Still have it. Still a good knife. My son says eBay prices are a couple hundred bucks. If you can find one. It cost under 15 dollars back back in 1974.

If your wife burns candles, set the used candle glass in hot water. The candle wax will soften and come out easily. Buy a cheap saucepan and gently heat up the candle scraps until they are liquid. Put in the rope and push it under with whatever you want. Remove from heat and allow to cool until it s...

My Walther & Wesson model 99 has had to have the plastic at the back of the grip replaced. It one day just crumbled. I looked on Walther's website, and on Smith&Wesson's. They both sell the same grip panel for the same price. I plan on buying another panel and putting it away in about a year...

That sounds more like pioneer type of stocking up rather than hoarding. It is things you know you can use, even if it is 20 years from now, rather than buying just because you know someone will run short and you want to have it.

Lots of their blades were kitchen knives or sheath knives in 1095 steel. Terrible for pocket knives, but good for kitchen work if dried and oiled. Great for sheath knives or swords because of the flexibility. 1095 holds the record in Japan for most Tatami mats cut in a single stroke. Flexibility is ...

In 1986, basic training, I had the only M16 left in the armory. Everyone else had an A1. That thing was worn out completely and rattled like a chihuahua's teeth chattering in 30 degree weather. In my area, shots are rarely over about 100 yards. At 100 yards, I am not too concerned with having enough power. If you cannot get more than .357 Mag, it doesn't matter. I am more concerned with the people using 7mmRem Mag at 100 yards. Overpenetration and damage to lots of things out past what you...

If I go without, no headache or craving. I just like the taste, feel, and heat of the morning cup. I drink it black.
No Orange Juice for me unless my sugar is really low, like in the 50s. It yanks my sugar level up too high otherwise. Anything above 65 and I am good.
