Re: 44 mag lever action and Barnes Bullets
I use 28 grains of H110 (or win 296) in my Winchester 94 which nets me an average of 2100 fps and will make clover leafs at 75 yards all day long. Its absolutely awesome on whitetail deer, hits them like Thors hammer.

Re: AR-50 UPDATE
Sadly no. That was years ago when the 50B first came out. I dont believe i still have any data in it but will check my load books. It was fearsome. I ended using an H3 buffer and adjustible gas block to get them to cycle properly. I will say this, I shot an old station ford escort at salvage yard at...

I ran some 600 grain projectiles through my 50B when i was still playing with that round. It was VERY impressive. The bear i shot with it dropped like he had been hit by a bolt of lightning.

Yeah Piller thats definitely too hard. I like something around 50. 5160 is my go to for most blades as its durable and pretty rust resistant. Only down side is its a little finicky with heat treating

It took me about 12 weeks in total but its finally done. 14" blade, 8" tang (pinned), and a 72" shaft. The blade is made from 5160 (1/4") and is shaving sharp. I am hoping to take both a bear and deer with it this year.

So, there is a bit of story to this one. Last fall i was sitting in my stand and saw this buck come out and bed down about 150 yards away. It was absolutely pouring rain, i had to slowly work my stand around to the back side of the tree. I worked my way down and started trying to sneak my way into b...

When i was toying with 50B, this was when i first came out mind you, I ran a 12.5" barrel. I tried a 16 but didnt care for the weight. I got complete powder burn out of the 12.5" but was also using an adjustible gas block. I took several whitetail deer with it, it performed about the same ...

I primarily use Lil Gun or H110 for my 300AAC loads. I tend to load toward the hotter end of the spectrum. Its acthally my "go to" round for coyote, deer and black bear. I do have some subsonic Lehigh Defense 176 controlled fracturing that work AMAZING on deer. They are almost hearing safe...

Pretty fed up with S&W. My brand new 627-5 (2.62") came with a front sight that just falls out. Contacted the service dept and was told it was not a warranty claim and I would have to pay for it.....on a $1000 gun. Absolutely ridiculous.
